1General

  • Used in backup power system in case of fire, suitable for public facilities…, rated voltage 0.6/1KV, fixed wiring.

2Applied standard

  • TCVN 5935-1 / IEC 60502-1; TCVN 6612 / IEC 60228; IEC 60331 or equivalent standard.

3Identification of cores

  • – By color of insulation or by color stripe:
  • + Single core cable: black or non stripe.
  • + Multi-core cable: red – yellow – blue – black or non stripe.
  • – Outer sheath: orange.
    – Or by customer’s requirement.

4Structure

  • (1) Conductor: By stranded compacted circular copper.
    (2) Fire barrier: Mica tape.
    (3) Insulation: XLPE.
    (4) Filler and Inner sheath: FR-PVC.
    (5) Metallic armour: double steel tapes or double aluminum tapes.
    (6) Outer sheath: FR-PVC.

 

5Technical characteristics

  • Rated voltage U0/U: 0,6/1 kV.
    Test voltage: 3,5 kV (5 minutes).
    Maximum conductor temperature for normal operation is 90°C.
    Maximum conductor temperature for short-circuit (5s maximum duration) is 250°C.
    The flame retardant wires have a significant reduced tendency to propagate fire.
    The wires must self-extinguish after removing the fire source.
    Test for electric cable under fire condition:
    o   Flame temperature: 750°C.
    o   Flame application time: 90 minutes.
    o   Test voltage: 600V.
